Beginning & Growing String Programs Australia-Wide
We are dedicated to developing the next generation of string players - hand-in-hand with the country’s most amazing teachers. Our joy is in making lives easier - whether it is assisting with presenting your career-making proposal to your leadership team, helping with instrument repairs, or guiding you towards the best tutor book for your school, we look forward to helping you be the best teacher you can be.
Supporting educators is what we do. From the inception of the business in 2005, founders Anna and Toby would drive from town to town across Queensland to sell products and help educate students, parents and teachers, in their homes and schools. The service provided during these visits set the foundation of the Simply for Strings customer service philosophy - education and support - to which we still pride ourselves on to this day. Now for over 15 years, teachers, schools, universities and conservatoria from across Australia have trusted Simply for Strings to supply the highest quality instruments, accessories, repairs and servicing for their string programs.
The Education team within Simply for Strings provides a specialised service that caters for schools, universities and conservatoria. The Education team is a small and dynamic team with a wealth of knowledge and resources to support all levels of string programmes Australia-wide. We pride ourselves on developing long-term, trusting relationships with bespoke and specialised guidance, so you know exactly who to turn to throughout your teaching journey.

Fiona Lougheed - Department of Education - QLD
Simply for Strings has been my "go-to" strings supplier for many years. I currently teach strings in four metropolitan schools and have always been so impressed with the knowledge and service of Simply for Strings staff. As Education Manager, Teegan has been my main point of contact for all strings supplies and music for my schools. Her friendly and efficient service has been invaluable - I know I can email or call Teegan with my queries or for quotes and she will get back to me promptly and with a range of options that suit my individual schools' needs. She does an amazing job of keeping track of my orders and requests and does it all with a smile. Nothing is ever too hard or too much trouble. I really value the solid working relationship I have with Teegan, as I know I can trust her advice and support as the supplier of quality instruments, accessories and music. Teegan and Simply for Strings make my job so much easier, knowing I can rely on their service and advice, and this really helps deliver quality strings programs in my schools. Thank you, Teegan and Simply for Strings! You do an amazing job
Stephen Chin - Brisbane Boys' Grammar School
I have been dealing with Simply for Strings since 2005 when they ran a mobile business that catered for all my string needs both personally and as the director of strings in a very busy school programme. In all this time all I can say is they have managed to achieve that wonderful alchemy of outstanding service, quality products with competitive prices. Their founders Anna Andriolo and Toby Cumpstay have over the years built up a team of like-minded professionals who interact with members of the string community throughout Australia whose main focus is customer care and satisfaction. For example, just recently their Education Manager, Teegan and Luthier, Ben came to our school to assess all the cellos and basses. Their attention to detail was astounding. We have now commenced a very workable maintenance plan and I must say the results have been first class. It is of little surprise to me that they were named as Australian Small Retailer of the Year 2018.
Ben Hooper - Anglican Church Grammar School
Teegan and the Simply for Strings staff have always provided a professional yet friendly service when it comes to servicing the needs of our string department here at Churchie. From repairs and string accessories to provision of new instruments, they have always considered the needs of our program and provided good quality products. In addition they have recently engaged in professional development opportunities which our staff here at Churchie utilized. These have helped to improve our teaching knowledge and capabilities and in turn, provided better educational outcomes for our string students.

WHY OUR CUSTOMERS LOVE US
Highly recommend for all strings-related needs
It is always pleasure visiting Simply for Strings, either for purchasing instrument/books or servicing instrument. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for all the strings-related need.
Amazing shop (beautifully decorated for Christmas on my visit). Wonderfully friendly knowledgeable staff. I was able to hire an instrument for my daughter to get started as a beginner and they accommodated my lack of knowledge without judgement.
Reminded me of the good old days when customer service actually meant something
I ordered merchandise over the phone from Sydney, I received great customer service all the way through. The merchandise came wrapped in a very professional manner. The experience reminded me of the good old days when customer service actually meant something. Great experience and I will be visiting the store again.
